Google announced that Core Web Vitals would become a ranking factor in June 2021 and the rollout is set to complete in August. The folks at WebsiteBuilderExpert have put together this comprehensive infographic that speaks to each of Google’s Core Web Vitals (CWV) and Page Experience Factors, how to measure them, and how to optimize for these updates. Your site’s visitors prefer sites with a great page experience. In recent years, Google has added various user experience criteria for ranking results. Google calls these Core Web Vitals, a set of metrics related to Country Email List speed, responsiveness, and visual stability, to help site owners measure user experience on the web. Core Web Vitals are a set of real-world, user-centered metrics that quantify key aspects of the user experience. They measure dimensions of web usability such as load time, interactivity, and the stability of content as it loads (so you don’t accidentally tap that button when it shifts under your finger – how annoying!). Google Search CentralCore Web Vitals incorporate 3 concise metrics: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): measures loading performance. To provide a good user experience, LCP should occur within 2.5 seconds of when the page first starts loading. First Input Delay (FID): measures interactivity. To provide a good user experience, pages should have a FID of 100 milliseconds or less. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): measures visual stability. To provide a good user experience, pages should maintain a CLS of 0.1. or less. You can get a report on these metrics utilizing Google’s Pagespeed Insights tools or the Core Vitals report in Google Search Console.
